Heidi Wilbert, Musician, Teacher, Musical Director
When Heidi was a young girl, she showed an interest in wanting to play the accordion and later the piano, organ and French Horn.
Heidi is a 1960 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Music where she studied piano, played French horn in the Symphony, Concert Band and a Brass Quintet and sang in the A Cappella Choir. During her summers while at the University, she entertained playing the piano at ISHNALA a fine dining restaurant on Mirror Lake in Wisconsin Dells
Heidi taught school several years and was Teacher of the Year at the school District in Downey, Ca. That year, she and her Glee Club performed on Teacher 62 a Los Angeles TV show.
Russ’s career with Chevron took the family to Santa Barbara. San Francisco, Sumatra, Indonesia, New Orleans and back to Marin County, Ca. In all these locations Heidi enjoyed a musical career as a music teacher, musical director and accompanist for musical productions for Junior and Senior High Schools, Children’s shows and Adult Theater shows.
Many of the songs in her recordings are from shows in which Heidi has performed and are her improvisations and renditions of Musical Theatre Favorites that we all love.
